 WORLD KARST/CAVE JOURNALS DATABASE
We are happy to announce that the “Combined World Karst/Cave Journals Database” is now available at the Speleogenesis site:
 http://www.speleogenesis.info/journals/index.php
This interactive fully searchable database contains references of all publications (many of them with abstracts) appeared in the major international cave and karst science journals:
 – Acta Carsologica
 – Cave & Karst Science
 – Cave Science
 – Transactions of the BCRA
 – Die Höhle
 – Journal of Cave and Karst Studies
 – Journal of the BSA
 – Proceedings of the BSA
 – International Journal of Speleology (to be added soon)
 – Karstologia
 – Kras i speleologia
 – NSS Bulletin
 – Speleogenesis and Evolution of Karst Aquifers
Most of references from journals, which primary language is other than English, have translated titles and abstracts in English. By now the database has 5020 references, and it will be continuously improved and expanded. It is though to be a convenient tool for cave and karst researchers, as it gives a possibility to perform search through all specialised karst/cave science journals from a single place. Most of these
journal publications are not contained in major geoscience databases, though together they represent the very important body of the karst and cave literature.
The database was compiled, formatted and presented on this site by A.Klimchouk, A.Koptchinsky and N.Yablokova, using data provided by Ph.Audra, F.Gabrovsek, L.Plan, Jo De Waele, M.Field and D.Lowe (UIS KHS Commission and ICKRIN), as well as data derived from www.bcra.org.uk (BCRA) and www.caves.org (NSS) sites.
 Good work!
 Sincerely yours,
 Alexander Klimchouk,
 Managing Editor-in-Chief
