Regional groundwater systems are integral to many phenomena on Earth’s surface and crustal processes, storing and delivering a major portion of freshwater, supporting ecosystems, and modulating weather and climatic variability. Advances in observational techniques, artificial and environmental tracers, non-invasive geophysical methods, and improvements in databases and computational technology have provided a deeper fundamental understanding of regional groundwater systems. We invite submissions that examine regional hydrogeologic systems and related processes at multiple spatial and temporal scales using innovative observational, modeling and synthesis approaches.
