Details of these events will be posted to the Forum/Facebook/Twitter pages in due course. In summary the calendar so far, reads…

*) April 2015. Karst Science Field Meeting: Cumbrian Ring. Details to be announced. Phil Murphy will lead a field trip to promote his new book, Exploring the Limestone Landscapes of the Cumbrian Ring, which is expected to be published by BCRA in Spring 2015

*) 25-26 April 2015. Cave Radio & Electronics Group field meeting.
Ingleton. For details, please sign up to the CREG-announce list at http://list.bcra.org.uk or keep an eye on the CREG forum at http://bcra.org.uk/cregf

*) 19-21 June (//Not confirmed//). British Caving Association AGM and party weekend. Details to be announced but, if previous events are anything to go by, this will involve some BCRA-organised field trips and meetings, with camping, breakfast, bar and disco laid on by BCA. It will be held at the Dean Field Studies Centre in the Forest of Dean, with a possible Saturday evening event in Clearwell Caves. This is expected to be a joint event with the British Cave Rescue Council’s biennial conference.

*) 20-26 June 2015. International Conference on Groundwater in Karst.
This will take place at the University of Birmingham and will be coordinated by Prof. John Gunn, with support from BCRA. It is possible that a field trip will be arranged to coincide with this meeting.

*) 25-27 Sept 2015. National Caving Conference, Hidden Earth. In 2015, Hidden Earth returns to the Mendips, the event taking place at Churchill Academy, Churchill, near Bristol. Organised by BCRA and BCA.

*) 31 October 2015. BCRA Science Symposium and AGM at the Manchester Museum. The symposium will be hosted by Andrew Chamberlain and Graham Proudlove. Details to be announced. It is possible that a field meeting will be arranged for the Sunday (1 November) to a local location of interest.

*) //Date to be announced// BCRA Malham Cove Hydrology weekend.
John Cordingley and Ian Peachey are planning a study weekend focused on using the sluice gate at Malham Tarn to generate artificial flood pulses at Malham Cove Rising. It is envisaged that the flood pulse testing could be combined with other work such as dye tracing and talks on techniques and theory aspects (such as flood hydrograph analysis).
