Submission of abstracts
Abstracts are limited to one page and should be submitted using the standard abstract template. Fill in the template, save in Word or PDF format and submit by e-mail to m.a.jordan@bham.ac.uk. In the message line put “KG@B Abstract – Xxxxx”, where Xxxxx is the surname of the lead presenter.
The abstract deadline is March 14th 2014. Only abstracts submitted by that date will be considered for oral presentation although abstracts for poster presentations may be submitted up to 7th May 2015.
There is no fee for submission of an abstract but if you do not register and pay the outstanding registration fee in full by the deadline of May 7th 2015, the abstract will not appear in the printed abstracts volume. Late registrants may submit an abstract for a poster presentation and, if accepted, the abstract will be included in the electronic abstracts.
If you need to receive a formal acceptance of your abstract in order to be funded to come to the conference, please write this in your e-mail when you submit your abstract and you will receive a prompt reply.
The organizers expect that there will be more abstracts submitted with preference for oral presentation than can be accommodated in the programme. They will inform those who submit abstracts for oral presentation whether the paper is scheduled for oral or poster presentation and will aim to do so by 14th April.
Please note that there will be ample time for discussion of posters built into the conference schedule. The limit for your abstract is one page. Abstracts that do not meet these formatting requirements will be returned.
The organizing committee reserves the right to edit abstracts for clarity or correctness of English, but will consult the author if any significant changes are needed.
